'Turtle Power - The Definitive History of the TMNT' [Official Trailer]

...and while we're on the subject how about this upcoming TMNT documentary?

In the spring of 1984, a strange new comic book sat beside cash registers in select shops, too big to fit in the racks, and too weird to ignore. Eastman and Laird’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles presented a completely original breed of super hero. It was too bizarre, too crazy. It broke all the rules and should never have worked. Until it sold out. Again and again and again. For 30 years. Now, peek under the shell and see how this so-called “happy accident” defied every naysayer to become one of the most popular and beloved franchises in the world.

Released August 12th 2014.

'Modern Hieroglyphics' - new print by Mike Giant from 1XRUN

Modern Hieroglyphics' by Mike Giant. It's a 18x24", signed and numbered print in an edition of 100. Available now from 1XRUN for $50.

"These designs fit within my 'Modern Hieroglyphics' series. Last year I was studying a lot of Egyptian hieroglyphs, trying to decipher their meaning based simply on what they looked like. Then I started to look at classic American tattoo designs and corporate logos in the same way. I tried to observe them as static objects, without their current meaning. When I imagine 500 years in the future, I believe the people at that time will look at our logos and tattoo designs in much the same way that I look at Egyptian iconography. So, in a way, this series is my gift to the future." - Mike Giant
