Okay, before you start getting all over excited (as I just did) it's worth reminding yourself that you'll probably never come close to owning one of these. Why's that? ...Well, they will only be available at the upcoming Alamo Drafthouse / Texas Frightmare screening of DAWN OF THE DEAD in Richardson (for $100). If you're really keen you'll need to hit Ebay and completely empty your bank account but hey, it's worth it for George A. Romero right!?
Retroband writes: 'Ever since I was a child I was obsessed with George Romero. As an adult I still am. So when Mondo asked me to be a part of this special project I quickly jumped on board. This has been a dream come true for both Worthy Enemies and I. It’s been a whole year since I started Retroband. What better way to celebrate it with my all time hero GEORGE A. ROMERO!!'
Mondo writes: In case you don’t know what Retroband does, let me explain. First, Retroband is actually two people consisting of Gabriel Hernandez and Aaron Moreno. They excel in making limited edition, hand sculpted, hand cast and hand painted figures. They design their own card art and package the figures in San Antonio, TX. I found out about them last year and have been a gigantic fan ever since.
Listening to Howlin' Wolf and stumbling across this figure by Josh Herbolsheimer is an awesome twist of fate indeed! It's a custom 9" vinyl toy, hand painted by josh and currently available from circusposterus.com for $275.
Looks like 'Mossy Log Earthwolf' is based on this earlier painting below. FYI... the rest of Josh Herbolsheimer's work is well worth checking out. This artist has just found himself a new fan in SOB!
'Frank N. Stein' is the latest resin figure to emerge from Credenda Studios. This time Beau Greener has teamed up with comic book illustrator Chris Hunt to tackle the backer card art. He comes in a limited edition of 30 and will be available to purchase HERE on Sunday May 4th at 10am MST for $45.
'Fearing for his life at the turn of the 20th century, the Monster joined the Witness Protection program in order to escape death. Relocated to a small town in the middle of nowhere and living under the alias Frank Norman Stein, he owns and operates a small autobody shop called Frank's Nuts and Bolts Automotive. Frank now spends his days fixing up hot rods and listening to Elvis.'
It's also worth mentioning that Chris Hunt is the artist behind Ghostface Killah's, 12 Reasons to Die project with original pages from the associated comic available to purchase, HERE.

So Polish artist Lukasz Kowalczuk has been in touch to let us know that the latest installment of Vreckless Vrestlers #1 is out now! What's that, you're not sure what this awesome comic series is we hear you say? Well here's the word from the man himself:
"Professional interdimensional wrestling league with a single obliging rule – no rules apply.
It’s also a comic series presenting fight coverages in strips – broadcasted both in print and
digitally. Basically without dialogues – Vrestlers fight not chat!
Vreckless Vrestlers is a comics tribute to pop culture of 80s and 90s – wrestling, toys,
cartoons, comics and games of these times. Things which still give me lots of joy and will
forever remain a great inspiration. "
If you're yet to catch up on the issue #0 it looks like our good friends at Strange Kids Club have still got copies in their store so pick one up and get schooled on this crazy world of interstella brawling! Then make sure you get the paper version of issue #1 as it comes with free stickers and an album to put them in!
