MOEBIUS aka Jean Henri Gaston Giraud

Jean Henri Gaston Giraud is a French comic artist who is better known by the pseudonym Moebius. His work is highly influential and has been used in films like Star Wars, Blade Runner and The Fifth Element.

A panel taken from Arzach, a comic book collection of four wordless short stories.
The stories follow Arzach, a silent warrior who rides a pterodactyl-like creature through a strange, desolate landscape. The imagery and situations in Arzach are often compared to dreams or the subconscious.

Giraud's artwork for the Dan O'Bannon short story comic "The Long Tomorrow' was a key visual reference for Blade Runner.
