Upcoming Faile show in NY with x3 print release

Faile say:

'We've had our sights on bringing a great painting show back to NYC for some time and are excited to announce the opening of Faile Bedtime Stories on November 4th, next Thursday at Perry Rubenstein Gallery. The paintings are explorations that utilize painted modular wood pieces in place of canvas, creating a play between iconic Faile imagery and abstraction. We've been experimenting with the medium for the past year and this is the first exhibition of these new works.
Nov. 4th – Dec. 23rd
527 West 23rd Street
New York, NY 10011
You can see a sneak peak of the work and ultimately the show at:
Opening is Thursday night, November 4th at 6:00pm - 8:30pm.

In conjunction with the show we will be releasing 3 new prints via the Faile Shop. They will be in editions of 100. We will have more information on these closer to the release date of November 16th. Inquires on prints can be directed to'

New prints from POW

Heres the blurb:

'Next week sees a brand new type of venture in conjunction with Paul Insect - we’ve produced our first folio. No we didn’t know what that meant either. Basically it's a hand printed box that contains a set of A3 sized prints, a photographic zine and a beautiful hand made book. It's so good it even has its own launch party. Join us next Thursday at POW from 6pm where there'll be lots of art-type extras available on the night.Show Opens: 4th November 6pm - 9pm
POW Print Rooms: 46 - 48 Commercial St. London

This is Al Murphy’s new print, and just like the artist himself it's a bit on the small side, but very amusing. Originally from Old York, Yorkshire Al recently moved to New York, New York where he’s attempting to find work with a forged Greencard. We asked him what his idea of paradise would be and it involved sitting in a pub with Neil Young whilst Jenny Agutter pulls pints of real ale.
** Please note - This is a small print **
35cm x 50cm, 7 colours, £70.00'

Limited Press Group Show @ Weapon Of Choice Gallery - Bristol

Heres what WOC say:

'Limited Press Collective group exhibition.

Opening preview this Friday! 22nd October 6-10pm
Show runs until the 7th November 2010.

Limited Press is a Bristol based collaborative art and design collective, best known for their large scale murals. As well as producing street art and graffiti, Limited Press also take on a wide variety of design, illustration and art projects.

“We're not overly concerned with categorizing what we do, we make work and take on projects that excite us creatively, that's the bottom line, whether its an exhibition or a design commission we apply the same energy and process of collaboration;a kind of alchemy in itself which characterises our work”.

Given the diverse nature of their work, and their team, the collaborative exhibitions of Limited Press share this interdisciplinary approach, often encompassing elements of installation, sculpture, design and painting. Their upcoming Show at Weapon of Choice Gallery, based on the idea of 'supply and demand' , will be no exception, featuring a collaborative installation by Meek and Kai, as well a new series of wall mounted works by the highly imaginative and unorthodox hand of Long John. A host of other original artworks and editions by the rest of the crew will also be available at the show opening from the 22nd Oct till the 7th of November (Please excuse the flyer typo..!)'

Alex Pardee T-Shirt Collection & Giclee Prints

'Upper Playground is releasing a collection of four t-shirts designed by Alex Pardee. Fresh off of opening a pop-up shop in San Francisco for his partner brand, Zerofriends, Alex has delivered four t-shirts - Hellraiser, Spider Ram, The Carpenters, and The Second Hugging - exclusively to Upper Playground. Alongside the release of the tees, we're offering an opportunity to snag some limited edition giclee prints - the first 15 purchases of each of the four t-shirts in the Upper Playground online store will receive a corresponding limited edition mini giclée print of the design starting on 10/7/10. Grab your tee and giclee print.'

'Upper Playground and Snoop Dogg are releasing a limited-edition micro collection of three t-shirts designed by Dustin Canalin (the creative director of UNDRCRWN). “This is a natural collaboration for me,” explains Snoop. “Upper Playground and Dustin understand my style, so they took a little bit of that classic Snoop Dogg and made it pop.”

Injecting a fresh take on an old-school style, Dustin Canalin uses the innovativeness that he’s brought to the table when working on logos for athletes like Chauncey Billups, Jason Richardson, Kevin Garnett and Tim Duncan (to name a few) to design this new Snoop inspired collection. The result? Three brand-new t-shirts titled ‘Chronics‘, ‘Hockey Snoops‘, and ‘You Don’t Love Me‘ inspired by Snoop’s “Gin & Juice” music video which are available in very limited quantity exclusively at Snoop Dogg’s “Snoopermarket” and all of our retail locations and online store.'

New Colouring Book for Old Boyz Featuring much Popular Street Artists

'Colouring books are boring! Grown-ups have no idea what us kids want to see and do. We know that painting and drawing and making things is FUN! Luckily, some grown-ups never forget this, and that’s why they become artists, so that the fun of making and doing never stops! All the drawings in this book are made by artists that usually make their art in the street (sometimes called “Graffiti” or “Street” artists). They put art in places it’s not supposed to be, make art to make the world smile, like to have fun and don’t care about the rules. And they don’t care if you colour inside or outside of the lines. So have fun with this book. Fill the pages with colour. Add your own drawings or copy the ones that are here. Cut them out and stick them on your bedroom walls. Help us to make this world a more colourful place. And remember - outside the lines is fine! Street Art Doodle Book enables you to find your inner street artist without leaving your home. Aimed at children, small and large, this book challenges you to create your own street art on the page, inspired by some of the best street artists from around the world.'

Dave the Chimp is an artist, designer and illustrator originally from London but now based in Berlin. He is a respected street artist and also designs graphics for Hessenmob Skateboards. He began his own brand of character-driven graffiti ten years ago..
